GIRL POWER SUMMER

GIRL POWER SUMMER 2024

It’s a Girl Power summer for 15-18 year old young women at The Center for Female Sovereignty.

This program is designed to empower young women so they learn the skills of self-possession and autonomy. Each student will learn embodiment practices, nervous system regulation, and delve into understanding the gifts and challenges of their survival patterns. We will explore the tricky terrain of being a woman in a male-dominated world and discuss strategies to nurture safe relationships, build stability and protection, deepen connection to nature and intuition, and make choices aligned to our values that lead to fulfillment rather than self-abandonment. We will also delve into the ancient Celtic wheel of feminine archetypes to understand all the varying facets of our personalities, needs, expression, and curiosity.

Each day will begin with embodiment work such as breathwork, vocal journeying, intuitive movement, free-writing, and expressive exercises. Then we will focus on specific topics, archetypes, and women throughout mythology and time who offer an example of a woman owning her power and authenticity. We will also offer invitations of self-designed or group-designed rituals to exemplify the rites of passage an adolescent is walking through at this time.

This program is taught and led by Cashavelly Morrison. Learn more about her here. Guest teachers and elders will also be invited to the space to share wisdom.
